Patricia Sosa

Progressive Commentator Patricia Sosa is the Director of Constituency Relations for the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.

Prior to joining the Campaign, Ms. Sosa worked for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as Director of the Intergovernmental Division in the Administration for Children and Families. She joined the Clinton Administration in 1993 as Director of Public Outreach for the President's Welfare Reform Working Group. In that role, she strengthened and mobilized hundreds of non-governmental organizations, members of the business community and organized labor groups in support for President Clinton's welfare reform proposal, which passed Congress and was signed into law in 1996.

Ms. Sosa has won numerous professional awards, including the Women of Achievement Award by the National Puerto Rican Coalition in 1993 and Secretary of Health and Human Services Donna Shalala's Excellence Award in 1995.
