• How do I find a recipe or other information from a PBS cooking show?

  You can find information about many of the cooking programs featured on PBS stations at:
  http://www.pbs.org/food
  
  Please note that these programs are not necessarily distributed by PBS. Unlike the commercial television networks, which provide their local affiliates with a set program menu, PBS provides its member stations with programs from which they choose and schedule independently. PBS stations also obtain programs from independent producers and other distributors, which is often the case with cooking programs.
  
  Please note that whether or not a cooking series publishes individual recipes on its web site is a decision made by each show’s producers, not PBS. Many cooking series post only a few sample recipes on their web sites, due to copyright restrictions in the contract for cookbook publication.

  PBS Food pulls together thousands of recipes from our wealth of national, locally-produced, and KIDS shows to create a fully-searchable database. PBS Food has travelled across America to collect information on all your favorite food and cooking shows, as well as the best programs aired on your local station. The site also provides a directory of chefs and food blogs from PBS programs and local stations. • Where can I find the transcript for a particular story or program?

  As the national membership organization of public television stations, PBS acquires program rights and distributes programs to its member stations. Due to the fact that PBS is not a production entity, we
  unfortunately are not able to help you with your transcript request.
  
  You might want to visit the program web site or contact the producers of the program you are interested in directly to see if you may obtain a transcript. Contact information for most PBS shows can be found on the individual program web site or the PBS Program Contacts page at:
