Q. I currently subscribe to the local channels package. Do I need to do anything to activate the PBS station on my DIRECTV service?
A. No. Your local PBS station(s) will be automatically included as part of your local channels package. Please refer to your DIRECTV print or electronic program guide for specific channels
that are available.
Q. How much does the local channels package from DIRECTV cost?
A. The fee is $5.99 per month.
Q. Will the program schedule change if I receive my local PBS station instead of the National Satellite Service?
A. Yes. You will now receive PBS programs without the one-day delay as seen on the PBS National Satellite Service. In addition, you will also enjoy local programs not available on the satellite service. In some cases, the primetime schedule will look the same, but each local station sets its own program schedule. Q. Will the PBS National Satellite Service be included in any existing programming packages if I'm eligible for my local channels package?
A. No. The PBS National Satellite Service will no longer be available to you as part of any existing DIRECTV programming package.
