Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, Gena Ashe is responsible for managing the PBS Law Department. In that capacity she manages the team of attorneys and legal professionals who provide the full range of legal counsel and advice to PBS on all matters affecting the enterprise. As a key legal strategist for PBS, she is instrumental in ensuring PBS’s compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, protecting and managing the company’s intellectual property portfolio and all litigation, ensuring efficient and legally sound business operations and managing the company’s legal risk allocation across its many endeavors.
Prior to joining PBS in September of 2007, Ashe was Senior Associate General Counsel of Darden Restaurants; served as the Chief Regulatory Counsel and Senior Transactional Counsel for Lucent Technologies; Senior Counsel and Director of Government Affairs for AT&T Corp., and Vice President and Associate General Counsel of E.spire Communications.
Ashe is a graduate of Georgetown University Law School and holds a Master of Science Degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
