PBS Foundation

Fundraising

The PBS Foundation solicits funding for PBS at the national level by seeking extraordinary grants and gifts of $1 million and above. The PBS Foundation is also the national mechanism for receiving gifts of all sizes to PBS. Working cooperatively and collaboratively with member stations, the PBS Foundation's fundraising efforts benefit and enhance the system as a whole by providing a source for revenue at the highest level.

The PBS Foundation has determined – in accordance with guidance from PBS senior staff and Board, the Foundation’s own Board and Station Advisory Council – the following primary areas for Foundation fundraising:

• The Establishment of an Endowment
• Planned Giving
• Special Initiative Funds
• Program Venture Funds
• Discretionary Support
