Community Action Guide

By Suzanne Stenson O'Brien

This guide describes ways to use ACCIDENTAL HERO in your community or your classroom. We've created two versions of the Guide. One is designed for single-sided packet-style copying and the other for two-sided copying, folded into a booklet (which is also very mailable). The content of both Guides is identical, it is only the layout which changes. Please let us know how these work for you!

Note: Both versions require Adobe Acrobat Reader, which you can download free from Adobe’s site.

Download this version of the Community Action Guide to read on screen or to print on your own printer as a single-sided document. It is laid out in a horizontal, two-column format which can be read from left to right and corner stapled. It could also be copied as a two-sided document.

If you would like to distribute a smaller document, or plan to mail the Community Action Guide, download this version and print it on your own printer. To create a booklet, set aside the cover page to duplicate separately as a single-sided sheet. Duplicate the remaining pages as two-sided sheets and collate. Place a single cover on the outside of the booklet and fold into a 5.5 x 8.5 booklet. For best use, saddle-stitch or staple on the fold. This booklet is laid out to facilitate distribution by mail. You may need additional postage for a first-class rate, and will also want to staple or seal it shut with tape or a label.
