The Songs and The Artists

KIRK FRANKLIN

Kirk Franklin is one of the most popular artists in black gospel today. His debut album in the early 90s was a million seller. Franklin combines traditional spirituals and the choir music that has dominated gospel in the last few decades into a more complex mix of elements of contemporary urban music such as hip-hop. He has issued six albums, an autobiography and three performance home videos.
