For the past twenty years of Pearl Jam’s tours, a collection of artists including The Ames Bros and Brad Klausen have designed highly stylized posters that celebrated their tours in around the world. Throughout this body of work one thing remains consistent – the constant merging of ideas and personalities between the designers and the band to create an image. This exhibit presents twelve designs and discusses the motivations and inspirations that created the imagery to accompany Pearl Jam’s music.

Organized this show to raise funds combating prostate cancer at the request of Joey Ramone. He was dying and his friends were doing whatever we could do not just to keep him alive, but to make him happy. John Frusciante flew in from thousands of miles away after the end of the Peppers tour. Cornell came up. It was also the day I told loved ones we were expecting a child. It wasn’t just a life or death gig… it was life and death – emotional. Turned out to be the last time Johnny saw myself or the band play live. He was happy, I was proud. I’m thankful he stuck around so my daughter could meet her Uncle John. – Eddie Vedder
