Bobcat Bobcat (Lynx rufus)

Physical Description: Stout body, short "bobbed" tail, pointed ears

Weight: Males weigh between 18 and 35 pounds and females weigh between 15 and 30 pounds.

Diet: Cottontail rabbits, woodchucks, squirrels, chipmunks, mice, voles, snowshoe hares, white­tailed deer, birds, insects and reptiles

In an effort to determine bobcat abundance and distribution Connecticut residents are asked to report their bobcat sightings to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection
