Jon Miller talks about Giants fans and Barry Bonds
"I know that in San Francisco the fans were pretty much willing to give him the benefit of the doubt because he made it fun to go to a Giants game. People in San Francisco got criticized because they cheered for Barry Bonds. As if somehow that offended people in the other cities. The nature of baseball, baseball's place in our society is for fun. It only exists because it's fun. It's fun to play; it's fun to go to a game; it's fun to listen to a game on the radio and watch it on TV. If it's not fun it doesn't exist."
