Tom Verducci talks about parity in baseball

30 seconds

"I think the game has really taken off to another level because teams in most of the cities the clear majority of cities those fans know their teams have a legitimate shot not just getting to the World Series but actually winning it. In the mid-nineties I would think probably only four or five, maybe six teams have a legitimate shot at being the best team in baseball. And now I think when each season starts I think you could make a case from anywhere from fifteen to eighteen teams, that those teams can win the World Series. And that's what's taken baseball to another level."
