Tom Verducci talks about how challenging it is to have a 'drug free' baseball
"When the commissioner started talking about we're going to eradicate performance enhancing drugs from baseball I had to laugh because we're never getting to that day. I mean if you can sit here and think that the Olympics have eradicated steroids you're kidding yourself. And they supposedly have the gold standard. That being said I do think at least the Wild West days where guys would shoot 'em up and do anything that they want are over with in baseball. I definitely don't think that message is still there. Those who are predisposed to cheat are still gonna find their ways. It's going to be harder, maybe more expensive, definitely more clandestine. But I would never say that they the game is going to be drug free."
