Andrew Zimbalist discusses revenue growth vs. salary growth

"In the overall context of the game's economics today salaries have been growing nicely but revenues have been growing even more nicely. And so the salary share, the overall adding up all the players salaries, taking that as a share of total baseball revenues today is around fifty, fifty-one percent. In 2001 it was up near sixty-five percent. So the share of total revenues that go to salaries is actually substantially lower today than it had been."
