Hunting big game
Bone arrows were used both in war and in the hunt for big game. In this case, the tip was sharpened, and then a barb added to prevent the arrow from working out of the animal. The projection on the other end was inserted into a hole at the end of a wooden arrow shaft. This tool was made and used exclusively by men.
