Paula Walker Madison was named vice president and news director for NBC 4 in New York City in March 1996, after serving as the station's assistant news director for seven years. Prior to joining NBC 4, she was executive news director of KHOU-TV in Houston, Texas and news director at KOTV-TV, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, from 1986 to 1987. A graduate of Vassar College's class of '74, her first news position was as a reporter for the Syracuse Herald Journal, in Syracuse, New York.
