WHAT JULY 4TH MEANS TO YOU

You've read in this Patriotic Reflections section about the Fourth of July's significance to the celebrities on our show and to Presidents of the United States. Now, we want to hear from you, the people!

What does the Fourth of July mean to you? What do you think makes this day special? What are your annual traditions? How do you celebrate?

Last year your submissions were moving, entertaining and deeply meaningful, and we'd like to share a few of them with you.  You wrote about how you take Pride in America's Founding Ideals, about the importance of Celebrating Diversity as a way of commemorating our country's independence. You shared your family and community traditions for America's Birthday Party each year.  And many of you expressed your thoughts about the meaning of Defending Freedom.

We welcome your comments again this year!  Tell us what you think about one of the submission themes above, or about anything else that has meaning for you on America's birthday, the Fourth of July.

Use the space below to let us know your thoughts.
