Residential Broadband ForecastsHere is a wonderful white paper about broadband adoption rates -- wonderful because it is so flawed. Toward the end you'll notice in their flurry of S-curves that they predict broadband speeds of 6 megabits-per-second will be available to the home by 2004. That's funny, since nobody in 2003 is actually building anything like that. Oops, I guess we forgot to do a reality check.
Network World Fusion72,000 homes had fiber in 2002 and that will increase to 1.4 million in 2004. Why is that? Well just because. I am doubtful.
