NEPAC 2019

It’s estimated that over 120 million Americans do not have a proper estate plan so PBS and a group of PBS Member Stations joined the movement to promote National Estate Planning Awareness Week. This nationally recognized effort aims to help create stronger and more financially sound communities nationwide.

Marketing Campaign

This October, 70 stations will participate in the Sixth Annual National Estate Planning Awareness Campaign tailored for public television. This promotion involves sending a mail piece (“QuickCard”), airing a spot, sending an e-blast and other activities to help station supporters get their “Ducks in a Row.”

Anyone who returns the reply device receives the free offer, a Personal Estate Planning Guide. The reply device also inquires whether the respondent want information about planned giving and/or has included the station in his or her estate plans.

This signature campaign for public television was inspired by WNET, the first station in the system to promote National Estate Planning Awareness Week.

The full project description, including costs, expectations, and deliverables, can be found here.

How to Apply

Interested stations will be required to submit an application. The application can be downloaded by clicking here. The station will receive an official acknowledgment to confirm receipt of the application.

Note: The application requires the name and email address of the station General Manager. The GM e-signature is required for foundations and other institutionally related entities.

The application process will close June 7, 2019 or once 70 applications have been accepted.

We hope that you will join our growing station community committed to this worthwhile initiative!  Questions? Please contact Beth Drake at 703-739-5162 or
