Twenty-five years ago, Jean-Michel Cousteau traveled to the Amazon with his father to study this exotic ecosystem. In a time of accelerating environmental change, he returns to this rushing heartbeat of our planet, down the river whose waters circulate through all oceans. The Cousteau family and the Ocean Adventures team make discoveries both inspiring and shocking in this region of urgency and conflict, as well as of hope for biodiversity and sustainability.

NOVA finds out in a program that's both a human story and an intriguing scientific exploration of the way our bodies respond to intense exercise demands. Filmed in cooperation with the Boston Athletic Association, NOVA was granted unprecedented access to the Boston Marathon course and takes viewers on a unique adventure inside the human body.

NATURE: Gorilla King

King among the mountain gorillas of Rwanda, Titus is one of only 700 of his kind alive today. Dian Fossey, the famed primatologist, was his first human contact, meeting and naming him in August of 1974, when he was just two days old. In the decades that followed, his surroundings have changed beyond recognition, and he has been orphaned, abandoned, surrounded by civil war, poachers, farmers, scientists, disease and new technology. Conservationist Ian Redmond shares his memories of Titus and his extraordinary life and times, from his early days to his rise to power as a silverback.

What is the digital transition?

Effective February 17, 2009, all broadcast TV stations will broadcast exclusively in a digital format, also known at digital television (DTV).

Will I be able to continue using my current television after the transition?

Yes, however if you own a TV that receives television via an antenna ("rabbit ears"), you must act in order to continue receiving television.
