Anthony Geffen - Series Producer
Anthony Geffen has produced, directed and executive produced over twenty internationally acclaimed series and films over the last eighteen years, winning many of the most coveted awards in television, including an Emmy, a Cable ACE and the "Best Series" award at both the New York and Chicago film festivals. Documentary credits include producing the landmark five part series, The Promised Land (BBC/Discovery) on America's great black migration; the three part series Prohibition: the 13 years that changed America (BBC/A&E); the five part series The American Dream (BBC/Discovery) which followed the fortunes of 10 families over 3 generations; the four part series Seekers of the Lost Treasure (Discovery) which revealed the true stories behind four of the world's great archaeological adventurers and the highly acclaimed BBC Behind the Myth exposes of Hirohito, Arafat, Franco and Caeusecu which sold world-wide to over 30 countries. He won an Emmy award for the internationally acclaimed 90 minute special Jerusalem - City of Heaven and has most recently produced the ninety minute special The Secret Life of Geisha (A&E/BBC Worldwide) and the major new 12 part series The Real L.A.P.D. (Channel 5/Discovery/Pearson Television International). In association with these productions he has also produced several tie-in music albums and books.

Geffen has also produced story telling on a whole range of multimedia platforms. Using cutting edge computer graphics, he created a 'Virtual Chariot Ride' in collaboration with Sun Microsystems and a computer animated feature film short called 'Silver Ball'. Other multimedia projects include work with PBS Online on Ancient Greece to produce a groundbreaking website, DVD and Web TV and working with both PBS Online and Intel to create a cutting edge enhanced television demonstration to tie in with the three-part documentary series, The Greeks: Crucible of Civilization.
