HOW THE GOVERNMENT COULD/WOULD ENFORCE BAN ON ABORTION
Last Sunday's Religion and Ethics exploration of greed in our country was excellent - a thorough discussion from all sides - truly wonderful. Now, I wish you would do the same for the discussion of just how the Government would actually enforce a ban on abortion. Explore the following: a) As murder of the unborn, both the Doctor and the Mother would have to be prosecuted for such b) The kind of repellant for fire differs, e.g., water on a chemical fire would only ignite it further c) the government could not enforce prohibition even though the abuse of alcohol is a terrible evil, destroyng families as it does. d) what then is the proper deterrent for this awful crime of murder of the unborn. Kim, you especially, could ask religious leaders (I'm Catholic-this is my experidence) why they never preach to the congregation directly about the horror of killing the unborn...I'm 74, I go to church each Sunday, and have never heard such a sermon, instead I hear the simpering plea to the Mother who has aborted her unborn child to come back, she will find mercy in the Church! No courage, no fortitude, just timidity from the priests! d) Does not the responsibility to prevent the murder of the unborn belong to the moral leaders of youth, viz., the parents, the religious leaders etc. Kim, you can explore this topic well. I just know it. Please do, plead, please do.
