Music has a way of hitting that particular emotion that you just can’t put your finger on sometimes.  A song can set a mood, create a memory, define a moment.  This week on PBS, we honor three musical masters who are not only responsible for tunes that make up the soundtrack to life, but have been instrumental as political activists and supporters throughout their careers.

  • Pearl Jam rolls in to Austin City Limits on Saturday, November 21nd.  Tune in at 10 pm (check local listings) to see the band’s debut performance on the show in celebration of their 9th studio album, Backspacer.  Pearl Jam has produced stripped down rock and roll for more than two decades and has focused on social and political issues from environmental concerns to voter registration.
