Collaboration in anything usually yields a better result, or at least an interesting one. This week on PBS, several teams are in the spotlight:

• Prolific cellist Yo-Yo Ma joins a group of musicians from around the world on Live from Lincoln Center: Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble on June 9 at 8pm (check local listings).  The special outdoor concert from Damrosch Park in New York City will feature an eclectic mixture of music, from modern pieces to traditional works, to create an experience unlike any other.  Listen here for a sneak preview of songs to be performed on the program.

• The boundary line between humans and animals blurs a bit in Nature’s season opener, as workers in the Australian whaling village of Eden find a rare and unexpected partnership with the orcas in the nearby bay. Killers in Eden airs June 14th at 8pm (check local listings).

• One of the most dynamic sports team members of all time, baseball player Roberto Clemente, is featured on American Experience on June 15th at 9pm (check local listings). A detailed look at Clemente’s talent, struggles and triumphs exposes the humanity behind the hall-of-famer.

• In a side note, Happy Birthday to Bill Moyers of Bill Moyers Journal! He turns the big 7-5 today. Congrats!
