The Hot Sheet: September 27 - October 4

Nearly a decade in the making, Ken Burns’ The National Parks: America’s Best Idea arrives on PBS starting Sunday, September 27th.  The epic 12-hour series begins with the birth of the National Parks idea in the mid-1800s and traces the past through historical encounters, personal stories and glorious, contemporary footage.   This week, tune in to the series nightly (check local listings) and check out some extra online features related to the new film.

  • Chat live with National Parks editor Paul Barnes on September 28th at 2pm ET.  Barnes will answer questions about the series and the filmmaking process in an hour-long live session.  Leave your questions about The National Parks for the award-winning editor now.

  • How well do you know your National Parks?  Play the Interactive Photo Hunt game on YouTube.  Spot the differences in each photograph and take a visual tour of some of the most memorable spots in America.  The game is harder than you might think!

  • Can’t tune in to the whole series on television?  The PBS Video portal will have the entire film in English and Spanish available online starting Sunday, September 27th.  Visit the portal now for an extended preview and behind-the-scenes videos.

Which way home!

I wathced a show last night in Mississippi on MPB called "Which Way Home"
and was very touched by the homeless
children's plight trying to get into the USA.The First thing that came to mind was Nancy Grace and how her time is wasted on single issues when there are 9 year old homeless children just over the border exploited and desperate trying to get here to find their parents. Everyone should watch this documentary. I was unable to find anything on the internet about it today? WHY? is it that new? or is this show purposely being repressed?

Looking Forward to viewing

I look forward to seeing the show. I am sure it will have the same appeal as ''planet earth'' I love nature shows, and enjoy learning more of our Earth.

I'm thankful to the one who

I'm thankful to the one who wrote this passage. I always read and write this style of articles. Also, as a daily writer, I present my respects to the all writers. Lately, I have watched a video resembling that. I research in all areas.

In my opinion, people should research first and write then.

Regards.
