Join PBS at SXSW

PBS is having a party and you're invited.

All you have to do is come to South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, TX March 14-16.  Can't make it?  You can join in the fun online as well.

PBS has been a part of SXSW for the past four years, but this year, we're setting up shop at The Mooseknuckle, a bar on the main strip in downtown Austin.  The three day event will include a live chat, musical performances and live interviews as part of PBS' Interactive Social Media & Online Video Studio.

The schedule is full, so plan accordingly.

You may know Zadi Diaz from EPIC FU, but at SXSW she will be working for us. Zadi and her production partner Steve Woolf will be conducting video interviews with digital and social media influencers everyday from 12:30 to 2:00 pm (all times are local Austin time).  (Zadi and Steve are also Engage Advisory Board members).

Need a warm up for the SXSW music festival a few days later? Singer/Songwriter David Kitchen will perform on Sunday, March 15th at 6:00 pm and Monday, March 16th at 5:30 pm.  David is known for his marvelous live performances so this is not to be missed.

And that's not all: Austin native Alejandro Escovedo will perform at 6:45 pm on Monday, March 16th, following David Kitchen's set.  Watch this video of Alejandro to get in the spirit:

But wait - there's more!  Join a live chat with Terry Lickona, producer of Austin City Limits as he discusses 35 stellar seasons of live music performance.  The chat will be live on Engage and at the Mooseknuckle on Sunday, March 15th at 3:00 pm.

Again, if you can't join the festivities in person, just stay tuned to Engage for streaming video and Twitter updates.
