Inside PBS Blog
Insights into PBS programming and personalities
PBS Photography Archives
I am a photography nerd. Like many amateur photographers, I marvel at the work of the masters. I knew the PBS archives would have a host of American Masters programming about some of the big names: Annie Leibovitz, Richard Avedon, Alfred Stieglitz. Looking beyond American Masters, I discovered an expansive list of photography-related sites that I think will appeal to novices and aficianados alike.
- Follow Dorothea Lange on a photo shoot as she takes six images of the same subject, resulting in one of the most recognizable images in American history in the American Photography Web site's Image Lab.

- Elevate your aerial photography knowledge from zero to expert in a minute and a half with History Detective's Tukufu Zuberi and his information packed video.
- Take a tour of some of the web's most provocative documentary photography, courtesy of this P.O.V. blog entry.
- Gape at the simplicity and beauty of Ann Hamilton's pinhole camera portraits, taken using a tiny camera in her mouth.

- Go behind-the-scenes of NOVA's Special Effects: Titanic and Beyond to discover the special photographic equipment used to recreate the ship, including a motion-control camera and a substitution shot (both pretty high-tech for the 1998 production).
My bonus picks for fans of user-generated content: Consider yourself an amateur Audubon? Add your best nature images to NATURE's Flickr pool. Or photograph your friends and family to display the different faces of America in Independent Lens' "I am an American" Flickr group.

Great Resources
This is a good list of resources for photographers. I have some antique cameras that I've been experimenting with to replicate original vintage pictures. This is a good list.
Thanks.
