Your Holiday Music Playlists
The Web is buzzing with holiday music playlists, from USA TODAY to Geek Sugar to Bon Appetit. We here at Engage want to know which songs you'd include on your playlist - traditional tunes? Punk covers? There are no wrong answers, so don't be shy - share your picks using the comments feature below. (You can also submit links to your favorite playlists, if someone else has already captured your favorites for you.)
For now, I offer up a selection of unique holiday music - and music videos - from PBS and NPR:
- With the Nutcracker's "Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy" playing in the background, this fox in NATURE's Christmas in Yellowstone looks like he could be dancing as he stalks his prey.
- All Songs Considered delivers its own holiday mix of classics, punk covers and new takes on old favorites with Jingle Jam, all mashed up and ready for streaming at your holiday party or on your commute.
- PBS Pledge perennial favorite Celtic Woman sings Christmas Pipes. Lyrics are included in the video, in case anyone wants to karaoke.
- Plug in to Arthur's Holiday Music Box for some children's holiday tunes from someone other than the Chipmunks.
Stay tuned for more holiday features from Engage, and don't forget to submit your picks and playlists below.

Glad you liked it -- a little of the modern, a little of the classic, a little of the cocktail set goes a pretty good way towards keeping things interesting!
I blogged about my list...
here: http://wiredformusic.blogspot.com/2008/12/holiday-music-that-doesnt-suck...
This doesn't have all my favorites, but I think it's still a pretty great list.
Re: I blogged about my list...
...if you do say so yourself :)
yeah
Well she is right, its a pretty good list
Holiday Playlist
Sister Hazel came out with a holiday CD last year called "Santa's Playlist" that is full of wonderful holiday music that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, everywhere. It's everything Hazel is made of from the slow swaying harmonies of Oh Holy Night to the rockin' Run Rudolph Run to the hand-clapping, foot-stomping fun of The Dreidel Song like you've never heard it before, country style! It's a must for your holiday collection!
Holiday Dance Tunes
I am a big fan of trance/techno music. Many people think that trance is far from the standard "holiday" music, although I think music that makes people want to dance and have a good time is just as effective for holiday music as the classic carols that we hear every year.
If you have never experienced trance music before, go to youtube and listen to DJ Tiesto's powermix (it has over 20 million views so you know it is good!)
Royksopp
Its got to be something by Royksopp for when you are getting ready to go out.
But ive also got to agree with Colin, Tiesto is amazing
My Current Album
I've been listening to The Script recently, damn fine band! I never knew some of their songs were by them until I listened to the whole album lol.
my list
the 3 tracks that are on my holiday album without fail are
1) Stereophonics - local boy in the photograph
2) Oasis - wonderwall
3) coolio - gangsters paradise
I know its a bit of a wierd combo but they are classics
I'm yours
Its got to be I'm yours by Jason Mraz
Its such a happy tune just now.
tunes
In this order ...
Glasvegas - Flowers & Football Tops
Kings Of Leon- milk
Snow Patrol - If There's a Rocket Tie Me To It
Lady Gaga Feat Colby O'Donis - Just Dance
Love it ...
Music can relieve our
Music can relieve our stress. With the economy we have today most of us are facing so much stress especially when it comes on budgeting our money. Holidays are good days for us to relax but holiday also means big expenses as you are going to prepare for parties. Financial emergencies happen. The best things to do during financial emergencies is first, not to panic, and second, consider all the options you have for financial support. If your particular emergency has you hurting for money, and you need it quickly, you could give online payday loans a try. You don't need to go to a store. Just fill out an online application and if you get approved, you may have online payday loans funding direct deposited into your checking account within hours. Online payday loans are a quick and easy option for dealing with financial emergencies.
Liking the lists above - one more to add!
New song I heard called
Santa Jamaica (Jolly Old St. Nick) by electro group called Fans of Jimmy Century.
Although the song is not electro, has more of an island feel with steel drums. Still, though it gave me the Chrismtas shivers and pretty much made me feel good all over =).

It's blippable lol
