Susan Meddaugh was an editor and art director before writing and illustrating her own books. Meddaugh helped bring her award-winning "Martha Speaks" books to animated life here on PBS KIDS.

Talking dogs are now a regular sighting at PBS KIDS, thanks to Susan Meddaugh.

Susan is one of the creative minds behind "Martha Speaks," a new kids show on PBS KIDS. As author and illustrator of the book series that inspired the show, Susan tells the story of a dog named Martha who finds herself with a lot to say after eating alphabet soup.more

PBS now has over 1,100 videos on YouTube, many with tens of thousands of views. In fact, this week PBS was the #55 Most Viewed Director and Partner (PBS has an upgraded account that lets us post videos that are longer than the normal 10 minute limit) on the popular video sharing site.
