KQED's Quest
KQED's Quest strives to deepen discussions on science, nature and environmental issues around the Bay Area. Each of its popular radio and broadcast programs is uploaded onto an interactive map, where it's archived and available for viewing or listening to online. Viewers who are looking for a good guided hike can check out Quest's "Explorations" portal, which provides the routes for popular trekking destinations all over the Bay Area, including directions, photographs, tips, links to related resources, and area highlights on a satellite map. Finally, Quest invites its viewers to upload photos from their own adventures in the natural world onto its Web site through the photo-sharing site Flickr.
In this Quest episode, viewers discover the nanotech boom in Berkeley, CA, where researchers are working to unlock the potential of nanoscience to battle global warming and disease.
