P.O.V.'s Borders
In 2006, P.O.V. featured American I.D., a documentary on America's image at home and overseas. The show and its Web site tracked the history of America's image, how it has changed and evolved, the recent rise of anti-American sentiment across the world, and new attempts to use the techniques of the advertising and marketing world to change the way people see the United States. P.O.V. asked its online audience to supply three words they associated with America. The resulting collection of words is a "tag cloud," a visual representation of responses in which the size of each word is proportional to how many people entered that word.
P.O.V. asked people from around the globe to describe the United States in three words. This video is just a teaser of the myriad replies P.O.V. received.

Frustrating
It drives me nuts how much wealth the US spreads around the world only to be condemned as bad country. People around the world and in the US are driven by emotional responses from the news and TV images. The people of the US are the most giving and charitable people of any nation around the world.
Agreed
Agreed, but sometimes we have a lot of strings attached. That said, you're still right. We are a giving people.
