WNET's Reel 13
Every Saturday night at 9, Reel 13 goes on the air on Thirteen, reaching a potential audience of millions throughout the New York metro region. The weekly lineup includes a classic feature, the winning short film chosen by visitors to this website, and an exciting new indie feature.
Reel 13 is a community of people who love film -- watching it, making it, talking about it, sharing it with others. Right here on the Reel 13 site, you can see trailers for upcoming films and share your thoughts and observations with film fans like yourself. In additon, Reel 13 Shorts is an interactive weekly on-line film competition that celebrates the best in independent short films. Short films can now be submitted to the address below for consideration to be viewed on-line. The public will then rate their favorite films on-line. The winning film will receive an award of $500 and be broadcast on REEL 13, Thirteen's new weekly Saturday night programming block of classic and independent cinema.

I love this series and I love PBS but I hate seeing the Channel 13 logo on the bottom right of the screen during a movie. I can imagine film editors and lovers of composition screaming every time the logo covers something important to the framing of the images.
Please, please remove this disturbing visual. We all know what a great station we are watching. We expect more from such enlighted producers.
