Re: Episode 10: The Final
i missed the first 15 minutes and the first bake because the show started a half hour earlier than ever before ... probably because it's pledge month. Now the network won't allow me to view it online because I watch it in Canada and there is some problem with 'rights'. Boo to you PBS. You'll take my money but what do I get now?
Re: The Great British Baking Show: Meet the Hosts and Judges
Congrats to all the contestants, sorry the male judge was such a dick.. I have been around professional chefs for years and have never experienced such un-professionalism.
Re: Miniature Coffee and Walnut Cakes
It's called The Great British Bake Off!

You could use whatever chocolate bar or chips you prefer. The darker the chocolate, the higher the percentage. I'd use semi-sweet or milk choc. Amazon sells 36% chocolate if you really want it. Looks like they're calling it milk chocolate.
Yes, broiler. Broiler on high is just being redundant. Adding cornstarch to plain (ap) flour lightens it to create cake flour.
Re: Linguine with White Clam Sauce
tastier in the shell & you can do it either way !
Re: Make Maple Dijon Salmon for Dinner
This is a really great sauce combination. I'm looking forward to trying it by cooking the salmon sous vide. I saw this recipe (http://bit.ly/1Bsalmonrecipe) and think I can adapt with this sauce.
Re: Prinsesstarta (Princess Cake)
Yep. She made a comment about Ian's cake not belonging in that freezer. It was quite apparent that she removed that cake and she did indeed need to leave. The Brits were very classy about saying that she had gotten ill. I don't think that I would have been as nice about it, if I would've had to come up with a reason for Diana's leaving.
Re: Lentils with Roasted Beets and Carrots
Looks like a beautiful recipe - any recommendations for how to cook ahead of time and heat up?
Re: Watermelon Feta Salad
Add some baby spinach leaves to add some great texture, as well as making an awesome lunch salad, instead of it being just a "side dish".
