Thanks for the response Joe! This list is for programs only shown locally. You can find “Caprial and John’s Kitchen” at the CreateTV.com site.

How does one go about starting a show in a state where one is not available please?

  • http://www.pbs.org/food Ashley Carufel [PBS Food]

Hi Julia: If you have any programming ideas, then you should contact your local PBS station. All of our member stations love to hear from their viewers! http://www.pbs.org/about/faq/station-finder/

Wow. How pitiful is it that even Arizona and Arkansas can get it together to produce local cooking shows, but Los Angeles can’t? And yes, I realize the difference between state vs. city. But LA has a population larger than many states. The fact that its local PBS station is now actually located in Orange County says it all.

Is this list complete? If so, it saddens me Texas has none listed. Especially since it’s the home of Whole Foods. Not like that means much these days.

We’re adding shows constantly. PBS stations have so many local cooking shows – just when we think we have listed them all then another great one we overlooked pops up. You will be happy to hear we just listed a cooking show from KNCT in Texas!
