Brandied Cherries


Recipe by Michael Procopio

Yield: 6 cups


  • 1 cup simple syrup
  • 6 cups dark sweet fresh cherries
  • 2 cups vodka
  • 2 cups brandy


  1. Place cherries, simple syrup, brandy and vodka in container.
  2. Cap tightly or cover snugly with plastic wrap.
  3. Store in a cool dark place for three weeks.
  4. Swirl the mixture around in the container every three days.
  5. After three weeks, adjust the sweetness with more simple syrup if you wish, or maybe add a vanilla bean or some whole allspice
