beopentogod "Deep within us all there is an amazing inner sanctuary of the soul, a holy place, a Divine Center, a speaking Voice, to which we may continously return. Eternity is at our hearts, pressing upon our time-torn lives, warming us with intimations of an astounding destiny, calling us home unto Itself. Yielding to these persuasions, gladly committing ourselves in body and soul, utterly and completely to the Light within, is the beginning of Life." Thomas Kelly

polkadots The King met a beggar on a lonely road one day A strange occurance took place as you will see, That beggar fell upon her knees and she cried, "Oh, pardon me. I am unworthy in your presence to be." But the King looked at the beggar and He said, "You've been set free. Your sins are all forgiven. Now you're born in royalty." And now the King and the beggar are walking arm-in-arm,....you see....That King Was Jesus, The King of Kings and that beggar was ME! He picked me up, turned me around, set my feet on Solid Ground - God was the Best Thing that ever happened to me. I was in despair - I did not believe, but He was all "they" said and more. God is truly wonderful. It has been 9 years. It's worth sincerely giving Him a chance.

Steppenwolf
Steppenwolf I believe that a person must get rid of illusions that enslave and paralyse her; that she must become aware of the reality inside and outside of her in order to create a world which needs no illusions. Freedom and independence can be achieved only when the chains of illusion are broken. (Erich Fromm)

Bracken "Do you know what a Humanist is? I am honorary president of the American Humanist Association, having succeeded the late, great science fiction writer Isaac Asimov in that functionless capacity. We Humanists try to behave well without any expectation of rewards or punishments in an afterlife. We serve as best we can the only abstraction with which we have any real familiarity, which is our community. -- From 'Knowing What's Nice' by Kurt Vonnegut -- November 6, 2003
