We shall not cease from exploration/ And the end of all our exploring/ Will be to arrive where we started/ And know the place for the first time. ~T.S. Elliot "Surely the [I AM] was in this place and I was not aware of it." Genesis 28:16B

How Do You Imagine God?
God in America and USA WEEKEND Magazine are partnering to explore Americans' images of God.

How do you imagine God? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator God is I AM WHO I AM, infinite, autonomous, omnipresent, unified three-Person spirit. God's vitality, power, ingenuity, knowledge, justice, joy and lovingkindness are limitless and perfectly balanced. God spoke the universe into existence (and continually sustains it), creating humankind to share God's love, creativity and dominion over creation. Humankind chose prideful independence from God instead; evil, condemnation and death entered creation this way. But out of measureless love, God became a man (Jesus Christ), gave His life and rose again to save creation from destruction and restore it, starting with humankind.

My Beliefs

I believe ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator I believe that God is an utterly unique, eternal, changeless, self-sufficient Spirit-being of three persons co-existing in a loving relationship of perfect concord. God created all things without any change in God's being out of the limitless overflow of God's power. God is love and loves the creation which God made, but hates what destroys the creation.
My most powerful moment of belief was ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator I do not have one greatest moment of belief, but when God's Spirit speaks with mine (and I can't explain how I know that God is speaking, except to say that I believe I'm created to know), then I have a moment of great belief.
My greatest moment of doubt was ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Great moments of doubt come and go, like great moments of belief. But I can honestly say that when I have sought something other than God as my highest good (especially if I haven't acquired what I desired) then I have a moment of great doubt.
My spiritual life means... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator God desires to have an intimate relationship with me, and with many other people. My spiritual life is not limited by time or place; it is an all-encompassing aspect of my life. Part of my spiritual life involves talking to God and hearing God, part of it involves thinking about God and reading the Bible, and part of it involves sharing God's words and God's activity with others of like faith and different faith.
