"Believe, that we may see" Fools Crow, Lakota Holy Man

How Do You Imagine God?
God in America and USA WEEKEND Magazine are partnering to explore Americans' images of God.

How do you imagine God? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator The Lakota for the Creator is Wankan Tankan, The Great Mysterious. My Beliefs

I believe ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Our spirit is given with the first breath, it comes to us from the vastness of the ethers of the universe, we are here to learn as we pass throught this flesh, to love, to give and to recieve and take what we have learned with us, to be born to another, and contiue to learn till the spirit has evolved to completion. It is our calling to learn and share what and who we are, to give our experience to the learning of another.
My most powerful moment of belief was ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator In a moment of the culmination of trying to understand and learn with the pain of loss, and fear of not knowing, asking for what I needed to do. To let go of what I believed, or felt, to give of myself what was necessary to be free of the pain and grief that had been with me, for so long. I had this emptiness in the center, a gnawing, never to be filled place in the center that was always asking to be filled, to be noticed. It was a place of need, never to be completely satified, no matter what. I layed still and closed my eyes....asked with all I had to be free of this pain, heartache....in that instant, a peace came over me, and filled me up in that instant, an unknown peace and serenity came over me....to this day, that deep hole has never returned.
My greatest moment of doubt was ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Knowing something was wrong with my daughter, in the womb, when I was the only one. There was no other indication, from the Doctors, Mid wife, anyone...I just had a knowing, uneasiness, that was always with me. She had a rare genetic condition, lived only 1 day, and passed away in my arms. I was angry, and didn't understand for a long time...finally understood she only needed to be here for that short time, fulfilled her destiny in a day. She was telling me, but I couldn't hear.
