My Beliefs

I believe ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator that as Christian believers, sons and daughters of God, we have been entrusted, and given the ministry of reconciliation. The reconciliation of men kind with their creator. As it was in the beginning, "and God walked with Adam in the cool of the day". His son the Messiah Jesus came among men to die and resurrect, in order to restore what was lost. God created men to share His glory with even as we read in Romans, we have fall short of His glory, a lacking not intended but provoked by disobedience and sinful behavior. If we have have have fallen short of his glory because we all have sinned, His heart is for every one not to be short of His glory. As we receive Jesus the Messiah as Lord and Savior, that relationship is restored, and restoration begins. Being a Christian is not about being part or identifying ourselves with a group, or creed, being a Christian is a way of life, a process, is not earned, or can be achieved, all has been done and completed as Jesus gave His life at the cross, and as He took his life back and came back from the death. Jesus is the perfect sacrifice that is for ever present before the Father of lights. God is not upset or mad with men, He provided a way to restore His habitation in us, as we receive Jesus we become the Temple of His Holy Presence. A habitation, un like in the Old Testament, the Torah, when we learn the Spirit of God would descend on people, like when Saul the King prophesied with the prophets, when the Spirit descended. Fear is not from God, and His desire is for us to know He is in love with His creation, He created us in His image and likeness. But sin has distorted that image, and we ourselves do not like what we see. Jesus came to destroy the deeds of the enemy of our souls, the very one who hungers for worship that is not belong to him. Christianity can be explain in one short verse:For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. WEB
My most powerful moment of belief was ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator During my own experience of being a prodigal child, some one who walked away from God after having personal powerful encounters with Him. Although I made the decision to take upon a rebellious and destructive behavior for a season in my life, God showed me that even though His love could still reached me, and it did. That was incomprehensible, and against everything I knew, believed and understood. I even argued with God as to why He would come into my life after my failures, filthiness, and rebellion. He showed me that His love for me, was not dictated by my obedience, but it was rooted in His love for me. A love greater than anything I could comprehend or understand. I joke now and tell people that, I am glad God is not like me, because if i was god, I would have gotten rid of "me" long time ago.
My greatest moment of doubt was ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator I thought of myself and a goner, during my time of rebellion in my life. I felt hopeless, but He proved me wrong.

As I raise my family, on what they see what I do, and what I say. To ask forgiveness to my children and my wife when I err. Being a dad does not make me perfect. Religion & the Public Square

What should be the role of religion in politics? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator True religion should influence the individual politician, to do what is righteous, and just. True religion is not political, true religion is impartial, politicians are partial to their views. God is not Republican nor Democratic, but He is over both, and both with other will be call to accountability in its' time. Their are Christian who have Democratic tendencies, and also with Republican tendencies. There are conservative Democrats as well as Liberal Republicans, and their life styles speak louder than words.
Should courses about religion be taught in public schools? Why or why not? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Yes, we should become an informed society, and should lead and not follow ignorantly. We can be educated devoted, faithful believers in Christ.
Should the Bible, Torah, Quran or other religious texts be taught as works of literature in public schools? Why or why not? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Yes, ignorance is not bliss. It is a most. We fear what we do not know.
Is interfaith dialogue important? Why or why not? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator I do not know the context of the question. We should not fear dialogue, besides there is an ongoing dialogue already. Dialogue is not approval, but we should have greater tolerance. Sometimes is not important.
Do you feel comfortable discussing your faith with others? Why/why not? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Yes and no, under the right conditions, yes, and I have.
Do you feel that you have a duty, because of your faith, to put your beliefs into action? What are some of those actions? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Duty no, is like marriage it should be more than just duty.n Duty has its place in it. It should be done out love and compassion. Do unto others as you like to be done unto you.
Are religious beliefs compromised by engaging in politics? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Yes, politics no matter how conservatives have a worldly mixture Gos does not approve, we have compromised and those compromises have often not been open to negotiation. We should not exclude politics, it is after all a realm we are call to rule over. Unless we clearly allow God to rule over us, as individuals we will not see righteous governing in our life times. Christians do not legislate from the bench first, we do in our knees or with our hearts in our hands before our creator. We will first legislate through prayer, because what we can't accomplish through prayer we will not accomplish from the bench. This is a fact.
Has 9/11 had any impact on your thoughts about religion? Are you more/less interested in learning about other religions? Do you feel more/less comfortable expressing your religious beliefs? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator 9/11 has not affect my approach to life, religion and other peoples religions. It made me more aware of the realities of our present age. There has been others tragedies similar to 9/11 in other generations and other nations. As long as we (humanity) have selfish hidden agendas we will experience tragedies, and crimes against free democratic societies, and in countries where dictatorships rule.
