How Do You Imagine God?
God in America and USA WEEKEND Magazine are partnering to explore Americans' images of God.

How do you imagine God? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator I imagine God as being very powerful. I also imagine him as looking human like and more of a man than a woman. I also think he has like a bright halo like light surrounding him.

My Beliefs

I believe ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator that Jesus died on the cross and because of that sacrific my sins are forgiven and I get to go to heaven.
My most powerful moment of belief was ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator when my family was in a car accident that we should have been seriously injured in but we all turned out with just a few brusies and scrapes.
My greatest moment of doubt was ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator when my grandfather was in the hospital dying and having great sufferings.
The biggest misconception about my faith/belief system is ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator that some people think that in order to get into heaven you have to do good works.

My Faith History

My spiritual journey has been ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator for the most part a straight path. I never actually strayed away from God but I did have my doubts.

Are your beliefs or practices different from your parents? If so, how and why? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator They are the same as my mother but not my father. My dad's mother was Catholic which was where my dad was baptized but he never actually went to church as a child.

How I Practice My Faith

Where and when do you practice your faith? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator I practice my faith daily but the most at school and church.
In my house, the thing that most represents my faith is ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator the ring that I wear that has a picture of Jesus on it.

Religion & the Public Square

Should courses about religion be taught in public schools? Why or why not? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator I don't think it should be taught at public schools but i do think that it should be allowed to be practiced.
Do you feel comfortable discussing your faith with others? Why/why not? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Yes because I know and believe that God will give me the words to say.
Are religious beliefs compromised by engaging in politics? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Only if you let them. You can stil be involved with politics and still stay true to your beliefs
