How Do You Imagine God?
God in America and USA WEEKEND Magazine are partnering to explore Americans' images of God.

How do you imagine God? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator I do not need to imagine God. I know God. I know him through his son Jesus Christ. At the low point of my life I submitted my life to him and my life changed forever. Upon conversion, I instantly knew that I must discover who Jesus really is and what his will for my life is. I began ready the Bible and it further changed my life. My knowledge of God is through his word the Bible. It reveals his complexities and his unyielding love, grace and mercy. To fully know God you must base your information on truth and not and simple emotions and wishes. The Bible and prayer can enable anyone to know Yaweh God, and his son Jesus Christ and be indwelt with his spirit.

My Beliefs

I believe ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator I believe in one true God ever existent in three persons. I and all man are sinners and we cannot experience God due to this sin. Jesus Christ, born of a Virgin, came to earth and lived as a man, and was offered up as an atoning sacrifice for all of mans sin. He died, and rose again. He ascended into Heaven and will return someday in his Glory. When a person submits his life to Jesus they are forgiven of their sin, and are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, and their relationship with God is mended and they will live forever in God's presence. God's revelation is written in the Holy Bible. It is perfect and infallible. Through the scriptures and prayer I can obtain a personal relationship with Jesus. My life should show the fruits of the spirit, and I should reflect the light of Christ.
My most powerful moment of belief was ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator In September of 2000 I realized that I had lived a life based on my own will. I had committed terrible sins and had hurt many. I needed a savior and was told of God's love for me. Over a period of 4 weeks, and ultimately a 20 minute period of time I submitted my life to Christ and have never looked back.
My greatest moment of doubt was ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator I doubted everything during my pre-conversion life. I knew who Jesus was that he actually existed but I had not put my trust in him. Since that faithful day in 2000, I have never doubted Him.
My spiritual life means... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator being a reflection of Christ to everyone. To my family, my students, the server at the coffe shop. Love everyone really means everyone. Step in faith and trust that God will always take care of me. As my health fails I need Christ more and more and he is always there. He has never forsaken me. His love and Grace is awesome everyday.
The biggest misconception about my faith/belief system is ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Christianity is an exclusive faith. It is the opposite. Christ died for everyone. His grace is for everyone. Simply come to Christ and submit your life. Whether your from, Texas, Tehran, or Tahiti Christ wants to grant you eternal life.
My spiritual role model is ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Martin Luther, George Whitfield, Tony Evans, John MacArthur, Lance Waldie
The tenet/practice/teaching I appreciate most about my faith is ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator The Bible reveals who Christ is. I can know the will of God as it is revealed in the Scriptures. Christs love and his plan is there for anyone to read and follow.

If you have children, did becoming a parent change your relationship to faith? If so, how? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator I came to Christ after I had children. Hopefully the faith I practice has had an effect upon them.

How I Practice My Faith

Where and when do you practice your faith? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Everyday all day. Christians need to consider Christ all the time. Everything one does is a reflection on their relationship with Christ. I attend church weekly, read and pray everyday, and discuss Christ with my students daily.
