How easy or difficult is it to live your faith? Why? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator It's very difficult to live my highest understanding of the truth. There's a tremendous gap between my ideal and my thoughts, words and especially deeds.

Religion & the Public Square

What should be the role of religion in politics? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator All people should have an ethical foundation, whether from religion or philosophy. Their ethics should be front-and-center in their character and thus their actions in political office. Specific theology must not be made the law of the land otherwise the spirit of America will be compromised.
Should courses about religion be taught in public schools? Why or why not? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Yes, ALL religions (and atheism) should be explored in school especially the common teachings of love, truth and justice.
Should the Bible, Torah, Quran or other religious texts be taught as works of literature in public schools? Why or why not? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Yes. For example, the problem of translation can be explored using the Quran as a model. The King James version of the Bible is great literature. The Gita is a stirring story. Stories of the Saints, such as Saint Francis can inspire many.
Is interfaith dialogue important? Why or why not? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Interfaith dialog is important because we're all God's children and need to learn to live as brothers and sisters.
Do you feel comfortable discussing your faith with others? Why/why not? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator I don't bring up my faith but if someone asks, I'm happy to discuss it.
Do you feel that you have a duty, because of your faith, to put your beliefs into action? What are some of those actions? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator My duty is to make my life a living expression of the Truth.
Are religious beliefs compromised by engaging in politics? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Politics is a trap and few can engage in it while holding spiritual principles.
Has 9/11 had any impact on your thoughts about religion? Are you more/less interested in learning about other religions?
