Meet Cheza 1 and 2

In 2014, after weeks of close tracking in some of the wildest sectors of Gorongosa National Park full of elephant and buffalo, the team finally collared the mighty Cheza Coalition. These two dominant males have had some very close passes with Nginga, the leader of the Sungue Pride visible via satellite data. The Sungue Pride, and its eight surviving cubs, will need to stand strong to continue to outsmart the Cheza males and other lion coalitions in the park.
