At the peak of the full moon, Piedmont Choirs premieres The Oh of Moon and Piano, by Bay Area composer Mark Winges from text by Denise Newman. Featuring the children of the internationally acclaimed Piedmont Choirs, the event is offered at two separate venues: Saint Mary's College on November 11, 2000, and the state-of-the art Chabot Space & Science Center on November 12, 2000, bringing together music, art, education, and scientific communities of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Following the performances, the public is invited to meet the composer and view the stars and moon through telescopes.
