On July 4, 2000, the Summit County Arts Council mounted a collaborative effort among the Breckenridge Music Festival's National Repertory Orchestra and the county's chorus, theater, and dance groups to create a county-wide millennium celebration. David Heckendorn's work, Nature's Universal Throne, celebrates the mountains and the spirit of the people who live there.
