The classical nature of a woodwind quintet unites with the spiritual emotion of a gospel choir in Stephen Newby's Testimonials, a composition that reflects the history of Newport, Rhode Island, and the diversity of musical experiences that continue to evolve in this City by the Sea. Testimonials is a collaboration of Salve Regina University and the Northeast Quintet Camp, the Northeast Chamber Ensemble, and Community Baptist Church. The premiere took place on July 4^th, 2000, in Newport's historic Washington Square.
