Near the spectacular geologic formations of Zion National Park and the breathtaking scenery of Pine Valley Mountain Wilderness Area, the Southwest Symphony premiered composer George Arasimowicz's work Desert...Spirit...Valley. The music celebrates the magnificent natural beauty of the area, its geological development, and the influence of the area's heritage, derived from Native Americans, pioneer settlers, and early explorers on to contemporary artists, inventors, and leaders.
