Lisa Haley and the ZydekatsGo to: ABOUT | ARTISTS & PROGRAM SELECTIONS | PRODUCERS & HOST | CREDITS ![]() Lisa Haley and the Zydekats A Grammy-nominated Cajun music group, Lisa Haley and the Zydekats perform traditional and contemporary Americana/Cajun/Zydeco arrangements. A Blue Fiddle Records "Americana/Cajun/Zydeco" artist, Lisa has a distinctive sound that embraces the multi-faceted genres of Louisiana music, including its French, Irish Celtic, Blues and Jazz genres, in which she is well-versed. Her music celebrates the power of family songs and stories to convey our shared human emotion, and her perspective of the cultural journey transforming Cajun/Zydeco into its modern forms. A fourth-generation fiddler, Lisa was born in Delaware to expatriate Southern parents, relatives of immigrants who arrived in Roddy Bayou, Louisiana, in 1718. Descendant of Francis Scott Key and F. Scott Fitzgerald, as well as kin to Bill Haley and the LeBoeuf, Broussard, Lambert and Thibodaux families, young Lisa grew up in California under the mentorship of several Louisiana-born icons.
