Tia CarrereGo to: ABOUT | ARTISTS & PROGRAM SELECTIONS | PRODUCERS & HOST | CREDITS ![]() Tia Carrere Tia Carrere is an internationally recognized star whose work has scored over $800 million at the box office worldwide. The exotic Hawaiian beauty has stolen the hearts of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sean Connery and Mike Myers in True Lies, Rising Sun, and both installments of Wayne's World. Her own television series, Relic Hunter, continues to play in syndication all over the world. Tia is also an accomplished singer who has performed on the double platinum-selling Wayne's World soundtrack, the Lilo & Stitch soundtrack, as well as her own Warner Brothers record Dream plus various film and television soundtracks. Born and raised in Hawaii, Tia recently returned to her roots by collaborating with childhood friend and multiple Grammy-winning producer Daniel Ho to create the 2008 Grammy-nominated album Hawaiiana. The project peaked at #10 on Billboard's World Music Chart and received many rave reviews. Composed of traditional Hawaiian lullabies and love songs, Hawaiiana was dedicated to Tia's young daughter Bianca. Tia won a Grammy for her album ikena, collaborating again with Daniel Ho. The release consists of all original Hawaiian-language compositions. “ikena” means “a new perspective” in Hawaiian; its title on the album refers to how one can look back on life with a deeper understanding. A notable track on the disc is “The Spam Song,” a tongue-in-cheek ode to Hawaii's favorite canned meat product. Tia has most recently been seen as a recurring character on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm, Kelsey Grammar's FOX show Back To You, and FX's groundbreaking series Nip/Tuck. She is also in post-production on two feature comedies: Wild Cherry with Rob Schneider, and Hardbreakers with True Lies alumnus Tom Arnold.
