- Co-producer Jason Orans says, “The clash of American/Indian pop culture was a natural and entertaining way to explore the theme of trying to fit into an adopted country while also remembering where you came from.” How important do you think it is for immigrants to fit in and remember where they came from? Why?
- Bollywood references have been increasing in European and American stage and cinema. Do you feel that Hollywood is going Bollywood? Or is it the other way around?
- The success of films like Monsoon Wedding and Chutney Popcorn have enabled Indian actors to come on to the American radar. However, actors such as Roshan Seth (Gopal in COSMOPOLITAN) who find no shortage of acting work in Europe rarely find work in the U.S. What do you think might account for this disparity in available roles? What might it take to change this?
