Gold Star Families for Peace
Founded by Cindy Sheehan and other parents of slain soldiers, Gold Star Families for Peace has held innumerable war protests around the country.
Move America Forward
Originally formed to support U.S. armed forces and efforts to defeat terrorism, Move America Forward also arranged the "You Don't Speak for Me, Cindy" Tour & rally to counter anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan.
Military Families Speak Out
Formed by families that are opposed to the war in Iraq and have relatives in the military, Military Families Speak Out was also key player in the “Bring Them Home Now Tour.”
American Gold Star Mothers
Established as a national organization in 1928, American Gold Star Mothers honors children who have died in war, assists veterans and provides support for grieving parents. They are not connected to Gold Star Families for Peace.
Gold Star Wives of America
Since 1945, this organization has supported spouses of those who died in the military on active duty or from service connected disabilities.
